I really love traveling.
Not that I always travel, in fact I only went overseas twice in my entire life. Both was to Indonesia. Before get married, I once thought of leaving Malaysia to go travel around the world and be as adventurous as I can. That's when boredom really strikes me & I wanna do something very odd and fresh to reignite my life..haha not that I am bored to live,its just that I wanna do something different than getting married & have children or go to work blah blah blah as normal people do. The only thing that stops me was financial restrictions.
Well I was graduated from local uni, taking Bachelor's Degree and expecting that once I get a job, my salary will start from 1800 & above. But that didn't happened. I start off as low as 1000 + commission working as salesgirl at optical shop. I didn't get to save even a penny (Yes its true) because of my responsibility to my parents, house rent, groceries, house utilities etc etc.. with that small income I cant even manage to get my driving license. Working in Sabah with very little experience & coming from low income family meant that I need to be really independent and not too choosy in job hunting.
I seldom shop, might go to movies once in a few months, bring my own lunch to work, work part time at hotels or catering services to get extra money. That's how I can manage to have enough until the end of month. But sometimes when there's some emergencies arise, I need to borrow/loan/advance to meet the need..I look for ways to save but there's really nothing left to save. That's why I can only dream about going travelling.

Okay that was (almost) 4 years ago. Now I am married and living in my husband's house..no need to pay rental anymore, just few hundreds to support the groceries & utility bills. I am still working with salary less than 3000, but I already get my driving license (BR1M helps), already signed up for life insurance (Prudential), applied for ASB (25 years) and have some for saving to travel. Looking back, it's really a long way - very meaningful journey indeed. True love & pain I tasted along the way. Sometimes I saw my old friends already have some fortunes in their lives, well once upon a time I was questioning why I was having such a hard life while they were really fortunate. As time goes by, I began to understand that God wasn't finish with each of us, and that everyone has different path to take. I put my faith in GOD with that. Now I can see that I do happy for them while still working out my own fortune ;)
Having been married to a wonderful man with simple yet charming soul, my husband is a kind of man that is very organized & disciplined. He was raised to be a gentleman & loves to organize everything and not really into spontaneous acts. Somehow its very contrast to my character, I do love spontaneous & adventurous ways. But our honeymoon was very beautiful, having him organized everything.. I supposed being organized is pretty good as long as we are ready to take any unexpected situations that might lies ahead.
And now we are planning to travel to China (yipppiieeee) because my husband soooo want to go to Beijing before having child. The trip will take place on October. Well to be honest I was looking to travel to New Zealand or Italy but the expenses are moreeee expensive.. huhuhu..so now I wanna focus on China..I love Chinese food and the breathtaking views of China so it will be a wonderful journey..
So beginning of April's salary, I need to save..save..save..bcos March's salary already used up - leaving only a few hundreds for my daily needs. So next month I need to cut down quite sum for travel purposes.
